The Life Behind the Fund
Greyson had his poppa George’s big blue eyes, his daddy’s button nose, and a gap in between his two front teeth just like his mommy did. His eyes had a twinkle but even more so when he was up to no good, which was the majority of the time. He was named after his cousin Derek and had a similar spunk. His little face was so sweet and he knew just how to use it to melt everyone’s hearts.
He loved jellybeans, timbits, and his blankie. He hated the hair dryer and taking time out of his busy day to use the potty. Greyson looked up to his big brother Kohen.
On December 26th, 2015 Greyson passed away suddenly in the loving arms of his mother and father.
It is important to John and Shelly that we remember the life Greyson had and not the life he would have had. It is John and Shelly’s hope that the loss of their little boy will touch and change peoples lives positively. Each day they will continue to put “one foot forward” in memory of Greyson.
about the fund
The Memorial Fund has grown to approximately $460,000 through the One Foot Forward event held in July 2016 and many generous donations in memory of John’s father, Gordon Zubyck and Greyson.
The Gordon and Greyson Zubyck Memorial Fund is administered through The Temiskaming Foundation. With your support we will create a long lasting impact on our community in memory of Greyson and Gord.
It is not the beauty of a building you should look at; its the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time.
